How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

-I need to know the answer. My life depends on it!!!!You don't lick it, you suck on it. and the avg time for sucking on a tootsie pop till its gone and only the core is left is in the vicinity of 8 minutes. If you do lick it you fail at eating a tootsie pop.
