Why are there so many Helen Keller jokes?

-Helen Keller was iconic in U.S history. It's mind boggling to know that people made and are still making jokes about her. She was born blind and speech impaired. Is there something I'm missing?Many people seem to enjoy cruel humour. Helen Keller was an iconic figure who was born deaf, dumb and blind but overcame these handicaps. I wonder how these people would feel if it was one of their loved ones or themselves who were being made fun of? Making fun of physically or mentally impaired people just exemplifies the pathetic nature of the perpetrators. I have worked with disabled and disadvantaged people and they are wonderful. Some of these 'jokesters' should try the same and then they may change their opinions.They're almost as bad as the holocaust jokes. Anne Frankly I don't think they're funny.
